As EVP of Explorer Research (the world’s leading private research firm specializing in custom shopper research), Jonathan Asher leads business development for the firm.
Asher has thirty years’ experience in both marketing research and brand design for consumer-packaged goods, including positions in leading manufacturers, custom research firms and brand design agencies.
Just prior to joining Explorer, Asher was an EVP at PRS IN VIVO (formerly Perception Research Services) for 10 years.
Asher’s strength is in understanding the big picture within which designs must thrive. He is highly sensitive to designers’ information needs, while also having a researcher’s ability to ask the right questions in an effective manner. He is particularly adept at helping decision-makers understand the risk of making the wrong decisions, as well as the opportunity cost of missing out on the right ones.
A frequent speaker and author on topics pertaining to marketing and design, Jonathan has been quoted in major publications, including Fortune, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Brandweek, Advertising Age and Brand Packaging.
